Warts & Verruca Removal

Warts and verrucas are common but annoying conditions that can be stubborn to treat. They are benign (non-cancerous) skin growths most commonly found on the hands and feet.

Warts & Verruca Treatments

They are usually caused by the Human Papilloma virus (HPV). Warts on the hands often tend to have a cauliflower like growth. They are highly contagious as the affected skin cells release the virus so hygiene is very important.

Verrucas are plane warts and only tend to appear on the feet. They are flat and thick in appearance, hard around the edges and have a small black spot in the centre. This is caused by bleeding within the verruca as a result of repetitive standing on it. They can be contagious and are often passed on in swimming pools, saunas and walking round in bare feet.

The Regenlite laser is effective for warts treatment and verruca treatment. The laser destroys the blood supply to the wart without causing any damage to the surrounding skin. This starves the wart of its needed nutrients and eventually causes it to fall off. The laser also breaks down the virus DNA and disperses it into the blood stream where the immune system attacks and destroys the virus.

Regen-lite Laser

A highly targeted beam of light from the Regenlite Laser is directed at the wart or verruca. The laser energy heats up the blood vessels feeding the wart which collapse and this then stops the blood supply to the wart meaning that it can no longer survive. It also breaks down the virus DNA and disperses it into the blood stream where the immune system attacks and destroys the virus.
