Peels range from superficial to deep. The deeper the peel, the more dramatic the results are and, consequently, the length of recovery time needed.

The most effective way to achieve a brighter and even skin tone, free of dark spots and hyperpigmentation, is to eliminate skin cells rich in melanin and prevent the darkening of the new skin cells. Especially designed to target sun damage and hyperpigmentation problems. White Peel penetrates the skins pigment cells (melanocytes) to gently and effectively reduce the appearance of unwanted discolouration, for a more even skin tone.

An anti-acne peel which helps to control acne and reduces the risk of future outbreaks. Beta Peel counteracts all three fronts of acne by targeting each assault individually; blocked pores, comedones and inflammation. Beta Peel delivers a heavy dose of salicylic acid and azelaic acid straight into the pores and follicles, helping to keep the pores clear of cellular debris therefore reducing the number of pore blockages and breakouts on the skin.

An anti-aging peel containing an effective combination of acids to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and fade imperfections, leaving the skin smooth and renewed. Rich in L-Mandelic acid, Age Peel is the perfect peel to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles.

Salicylic acid and mandelic acid peels are perfect for patients with oily, acne prone or sensitive skin. They work by sloughing away dead skin cells and also have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to immediately calm skin and combat rosacea, redness and bumps.

Glycolic acid and lactic acid are both powerful Alpha-Hydroxy-Acids (AHA). Glycolic acid works inside the skin cells by encouraging new collagen growth and forming keratin cells to smooth out fine lines. A lactic acid peel is great for treating age/sun spots and is perfect for improving the skin’s texture and hydration level.

Before each treatment, you will have an in-depth skin analysis and consultation to diagnose the type of peel that will best suit you and your skin.

The peel itself will last 15-20 minutes during which time you may feel some stinging or tightening depending on the type of peel used.

You will notice the effects of the peel immediately. Actual recovery varies person to person and depends on the depth of the peel.

What peel will I have?

During your consultation you will most likely have a skin scan to determine the type of skin you have. We will choose a peel that is specifically for your type of skin and that will address your problem areas.

Does it hurt?

The skin may feel tight and look red, but this depends on the type of peel and whether the peel was superficial or deep. Your medical practitioner will give you a post-treatment advice sheet specific to the peel you have had so you will know what side effects, if any, to expect.

How many treatments will I need?

This depends entirely on the severity of your skin’s condition and the type of peel we use. If it’s the first time you have had a peel, we are more likely to use a light peel to get you started and assess from there. For many people, having a medical skin peel is just part of their beauty regime and they will come to us on a regular basis for a “top-up”.
