Thread Vein Treatment

I had been putting up with unsightly thread veins on both legs for several years and decided to take the plunge and have a consultation and treatment at the Bolton Laserase centre in Febuary 2014.

My worse veins were just above my knee, on the outside of both legs which looked like bruises. I also had wide spread single thread veins over both thighs.

These were all very obvious in summer in shorts dresses, and when swimming. I first went for a consultation with Saria who assessed the suitability of treatment and told me about any side effects, such as the areas being treated would look worse before they got better, that I need to wear support tights and to avoid hot baths.

As all this went so smoothly, l went ahead with the first injections on the same day. The treatment was quickly and professionally completed in about 15 minutes, instructions for the next few weeks given, and a new appointment made for 3 months’ time.

As expected, the veins were red and sore for a few days but l was surprised and delighted with the results after 2 weeks . The bruised look had started to fade and some of the individual veins had disappeared completely.

The proceedure was repeated at the second appointment and a third appointment booked for laser treatment to finish the course and remove the smaller single veins that remained .

Three months later the laser treatment was completed on my third and final visit and l continue to be delighted with the results

Throughout my 3 visits to the centre all the staff where friendly and professional. There was no waiting or delayed appointments and the results are wonderful
