I had my tattoo done about nine or ten years ago, at a time when I wanted to rebel against my mother, who told me not to get any more. I decided to get it removed because, over time, I found it to be tacky and childish and it’s in a position that is difficult to cover. My sister is getting married and I didn’t want to have it on show as a maid of honour.

I have lived in Bolton all my life and I have just recently turned 30, I’m married and work in healthcare. I have five tattoos in total, including the one I’m having removed.

I knew of Laserase Bolton because I live locally and I had previously been for a consultation regarding a birth mark. At my consultation for the tattoo removal we discussed how the laser works and the price of each treatment, as well as how to prepare the skin prior to starting the treatment. As I was happy with all the information, I booked in for the next available appointment.

I am currently up to my fourth treatment and I’ve noticed a huge difference – the tattoo has faded a lot, it’s almost grey compared to the horrible thick black that I started out with. It is a bit painful after the treatment when it starts to blister and annoyingly itchy when the scabs appear, but that lasts a week at the most, no longer. The actual treatment itself is quite tolerable.

The nurse I see every four weeks is so friendly she really puts me at ease. The whole team are very helpful and friendly and I don’t have to wait long for my appointment – the service is extremely prompt.

We initially discussed 15 to 20 treatments before the tattoo would completely disappear, but the progress over four treatments has been incredible, so I doubt it will need that many.

I would recommend Laserase Bolton without hesitation, mainly because it’s a trustworthy establishment and because I’ve had a good experience myself. In fact, I have already recommended Laserase to someone who was looking for hair removal.
