I am a 34 year old mother of two children. I have suffered from polycystic ovaries for around 15 years now. Over the years I have been getting more and more hairs on my chin, neck and face. I have tried all different ways of trying to remove unwanted hairs to no avail. A few years ago I watched Embarrassing Bodies and saw a lady who suffered from the same condition who had received laser treatment.

I went to my doctors and asked for help only to be told the NHS didn’t fund it. I fought for this and eventually received the funding and I am currently receiving the treatment from Laserase Bolton. So far so good – it has stopped most of the hairs growing back, although as I was told by the nurse it doesn’t remove blond hairs only the darker ones. The staff at Laserase Bolton are lovely and always make me feel comfortable with this embarrassing illness.
