Laserase Bolton prides itself in quality of care it offers from its team of professional doctors and nurses to the helpful friendly service of the staff helping book appointments and offering advice. One of our proud achievements is our staff have remained with us since the early days. We want to introduce them.
Dr Kiran Patel
Dr Kiran Patel has been the Medical Director of Laserase Bolton for over 20 years. He is our expert medical practitioner and has overall responsibility for our clinical protocols.
As a full-time NHS GP, Dr Patel has maintained his specialist interest in laser technology and techniques throughout his career, attending many conferences and specialist training courses across the UK and Europe.
For Dr Patel, some of the most rewarding work is the help we can offer to patients with birth marks, in particular young children who can become traumatised by their blemishes.
The joy on their faces when they are removed is incredibly satisfying. Dr Patel speaks Gujarati.
Sister Saria Tahir
Saria has been part of Laserase Bolton for 14 years. She is a Registered General Nurse and an Independent Prescriber on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register.
She is a member of The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and the Private Independent Aesthetic Practices Association (PIAPA).
Saria is fully qualified to conduct all treatments available at Laserase but the area she is most passionate about is Acne. It’s a real journey of “ups and downs” but it’s rewarding seeing patients feel more confident about themselves and their skin.
Saria speaks Punjabi and Urdu.
Sister Joanne Smithers
Joanne has worked at Laserase Bolton for 12 years and is our senior laser nurse practitioner – She is a qualified State Registered Nurse and prior to Laserase Bolton worked in the laser and dermatological unit in Lister Hospital, Chelsea.
Joanne loves all aspects of her job, especially where she treats and sees the same patient throughout their journey with us. It is great giving people the advice and support they need and watch how our work helps improve their quality of life.
Julie has been the Clinic Manager for Laserase Bolton since 1998. Her role covers all areas of the company, from overseeing administrative tasks to ensuring our medical staff know who they are treating and when.
She’s the one we all go to if we have any questions about the Care Quality Commission guidelines and the running of the business as a whole.
Kelly has been with us for two years now and works part-time on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Kelly books people in for consultations and makes sure all of the patient records are up-to-date.
Her favourite thing about working here is speaking to people on the phone then meeting them and following their treatment’s progress.
