We all know that no matter how hard we try there are certain areas which do not respond to diet and exercise. At Laserase Bolton we have spent some considerable time researching a solution to these problem areas and we came across the new Radio Frequency device called Accent.
The Accent is a “state of the art” device designed for body shaping, skin tightening and treatment of cellulite. It will not work in obesity and is not designed as a weight loss tool, but is best in small localised areas. It is not suitable for everyone and a consultation will be required prior to treatment. The information gathered will be used to work out a treatment regime to suit your individual needs.
The Accent can be used to treat loose and sagging skin anywhere on the body. The procedure is frequently used to treat the thin, loose and ‘crepey’ skin often found on the neck and under the upper arms. It is also excellent for firming skin on the abdomen, hips and thighs and reducing cellulite.
The Accent utilises radio frequency which allows radio waves to penetrate the skin at various depths and generate heat. This heat (which is monitored and continually cooled) causes contraction and remodelling of the collagen fibres and connective tissue within the skin; changes the shape of, and reduces, fat cells; enhances blood circulation; drains fatty deposits and toxins; helps to increase flow and drainage to the lymphatic system.
During treatment oil is applied to the skin and the client feels a deep, soothing heat in the targeted area, rather like a deep tissue massage. The treatment can be used on all skin types and there are generally no significant side effects following treatment however you may notice a slight redness and some localised swelling, which should disappear in less than 24 hours. All routine activities can be resumed following treatment.
The recommended treatment regime includes up to eight treatments sessions at regular intervals (usually bi-weekly). Each treatment session can take between 15 – 90 minutes. With time you will see a gradual improvement and follow-up procedures may be recommended to maintain the effects. |
